Toyota : Toyota to Join the WTCC ?

Interesting news for all the touring car fans out there, after a go at the ETCC last year in a Corolla S2000, it appears that Toyota may consider joining the World Touring Car Championship in the near future!

The T-Sport Toyota Corolla would then be replaced by a T-Sport Auris.
This type of body (hatchback/sporthatch) has proven to be competitive in rally and touring car races over the last couple years in various championships, especially in Europe.

The German ADAC Procar Team Geipel Motorsport is said to have prepared 2 Auris for the 2009 season for what could be the return of the japanese manufacturer (through a private team) in a major TC championship.
