Tokyo Motor Show: Honda Still Has a Long Way to Go
As a S2000 and NSX huge fan it saddens me to see Honda for the past few years not going anywhere … and the 2009 Tokyo Motor Show didn't give a clear idea on where they're headed…

The first glimpse of a potential success comes from the CR-Z which will be also sold in North America and may come with a 2.0l engine (or maybe a 1.5l)…

While the CR-Z is something that we can expect in the near future, by next year, the Skydeck Concept is nothing but a design study that could one day may be the next Odyssey.

Another design study that we'd love to see Honda produce VERY soon before they go under, is the cute EV-N Concept based on the 600N from the sixties…

I hope CR-Z is just the begining of a new era at Honda.

I hope the EN-V concept makes it to the USDM as a hybrid?

Why do you think Honda is going down?

The EU Civic and the recent Accord and Jazz updates look really sharp to me. Managing to make normal cars interesting is not nearly as easy as more sporty cars.

I agree with the sentiment that their line up is less sporty. However most manufacturers dumped their fun cars in the early 2000s/ late 90s. The GTO, the FTO, MX3, RX7, S2000, NSX, Puma, 323F are all gone. There are signs of recovery now as sharp sporty cars are coming back into fashion.
