Toyota Begins RAV4 Production in Canada

With over 1.25 million RAV4s sold in North America, Toyota decided to build their best selling SUV in Canada. Until today these SUV were built only in Japan then exported to the USA. Toyota's new plant (a 1.1 billion Canadian Dollar investment) will create 1200 new jobs.

The Woodstock plant (in Ontario) will be Toyota's 2nd largest plant in Canada after their Cambridge plant (also in Ontario), where they manufacture the North American Corrola, Matrix, and Lexus RX350.
