The Lapin (Alto Lapin) if one of those cute and extremely girlish Kei-cars that only Japanese know how to make. Introduced in 2002, it's very popular among women, and today, Suzuki freshened-up its design with less angular angles and smoother lines. It seems that our Alto Lapin is really taking after the Nissan Cube’s good looks.
Suzuki not only aimed to give its Lapin a new facelift, but also worked on improving the car basic fuel cost performance and succeeded in achieveing 24.5km/l (4l / 100km) fuel consumption on the 2WD CVT gasoline version.
Based on another best seller from Suzuki, the Wagon-R, the Alto Lapin 2009 is more spacious as well as offering a better driving experience (according to Suzuki). Available in two different packages with a 0.66L DOHC VVT engine or a 0.66L DOHC Turbo Engine, you'll also have a choice between a 2WD or 4WD version as well as a CVT version (only available on the turbo model) and a 4 speed automatic gearbox.
Prices in Japan will range from 1.05 Million Yen to 1.55 Million Yen (8,400€ to 12,000€).
