2008 Bologna Motor Show World Debut of the All New Mazda3 5 Door Hatchback
Only a couples of days after the the Mazda 3 (4 door) sedan's official launch in Los Angeles, yesterday Mazda announced a 5 door hatchback version of the 3 (Axela) that will be unveiled at the Bologne in Italy in December.

Inspired by the previous generation with the same front end as the sedan version launched at the LA Auto Show, the new Mazda 3 hatchback is set to be yet another success for Mazda.

It's powered in Europe with either a 1.6 or a 2L engine, as well as a 1.6 and 2.2L turbo diesel.

Mazda claims 150PS and 185PS from its respective turbo diesel engine and uses a newly designed high performance clean diesel power plant.
