Back in 1995 and 1996, when the GT-R was at its peak, Nissan participated in one of the the most difficult and prestigious races, Le Mans. The result was the famous R33 GT-R LM. A decade later, Nissan stunned the world with its GT-R (
Our test here after the Jump). Strong with their new road devil, Nissan is planning to revive the LM series with the R35. Apparently announced by the Japanese tabloid magazine Best Car earlier this week.
A very close source from Nissan apparently gave Best Car some pretty nice information on the next “possible” GT-R LM. We'll have to be careful about the following specs, but the next GT-R LM will be available in two version with:
A track only version limited to only 30 units with 550PS under the hood and a weighing only 1350kg. This version will be stripped down to the max for a better power/weight ratio.
A more humble version for civilians with all the comfort needed to drive the kids to school and enough power (550PS) under the bonnet to get them there on time! Best Car also announced it may be limited to only 300 lucky buyers prepaired to spend between 15 to 18 Million yen!
We'll see, and hope this crazy dream comes true.
