Certainly not the first - certainly many have shown solar panels on show cars. The first application like this I remember was in the 80's when SAAB had a car that would run the AC fans to cool the car in a hot parking lot.

Audi had the solar sunroof since the 80's ain't nothing new. So stop inventing that Toyota was the first car maker to do it!
