That is just simply the most beautifully built LeMans concept racer of all time, truly otherworldly and the design so inspirational.
Would have been great to actually see Mazda race this car in such a classic event.
In that first picture ( top - showing silhoutte of the rear engine compartment ), they look like the roofs/rooves of Japanese temples or even armours/shields worn by warriors.
Fantastic video as well.
