Solberg and Subaru Claims a Second Place Finish in Greece!
While I personally thought the Acropolis Rally would be a tough one for the first race of the brand new 2008 Impreza SWRT, the facts proved me wrong as Petter Solberg managed to stay away from bad luck and mechanical failures to put his new toy in second place.

Despite several problems encountered by his rivals from Citröen (D.Sordo) and Ford (M.Hirvonen, J.M. Latvala), the performance of the Subaru was solid and we can finally hope for a true return of the Japaneses manufacturer in the Word Rally Championship.

Acropolis Rally, final standings:

1 Sébastien Loeb Citroen Total WRT C4 WRC
2 Petter Solberg Subaru WRT Impreza WRC 2008 1’09’’5
3 Mikko Hirvonen BP Ford Abu Dhabi Focus RS WRC 07 1’56’’1
4 Urmo Aava PH Sport-Citroen C4 WRC 4’19’’7
5 Dani Sordo Citroen Total WRT C4 WRC 4’49’’4
6 Matthew Wilson Stobart VK Ford Focus WRC 07 6’11’’3
7 Jari-Matti Latvala BP Ford Abu Dhabi Focus RS WRC 07 6’47’’5
8 Henning Solberg Stobart VK Ford Focus WRC 07 9’14’’0
9 Toni Gardemeister Suzuki WRT SX4 WRC 10’13’’8
10 Conrad Rautenbach PH Sport-Citroen C4 WRC 13’29’’1

A big congrats' to SWRT and Petter S. for proving the new car is an awesome competitor on it's debut.
This will surely give them a big boost of confidence to fight for the manufacturers' and drivers' title.
Here's hoping Petter S. and Chris A. would get more podium wins.
Great car, Love your work.
