XANAVI NISMO GT-R Scores Debut Win at Suzuka!
One of the most amazing super cars ever built, how could it be otherwise? Team XANAVI NISSMO, together with French pilot Benoit Treluyer, who made one of the fastest test laps, 1.53.383, a while ago on the very same circuit … and his Japanese partner Satoshi Motoyama, successfully win the very first Super-GT race of the season…

In the SUZUKA GT 300km race, Round 1 of the 2008 AUTOBACS SUPER GT held at the Suzuka Circuit (one lap 5.807 km x 52 laps) in Mie Pref. on March 16, the XANAVI NISMO GT-R driven by Satoshi Motoyama and Benoit Treluyer took the win.

With this, Nissan's new sports car, the Nissan GT-R released on the market last autumn, scored an impressive victory in its official debut race.

The race started exactly at 14:00. Starting from the pole position (fastest qualifier), the MOTUL AUTECH GT-R, and the second qualifying XANAVI NISMO GT-R quickly began to pull away from the competition, and the early stages of the race developed into a duel between these two GT-R machines. Then at mid-race, shortly after they returned to the pit to change drivers, the XANAVI NISMO GT-R passed the MOTUL AUTECH GT-R in the hairpin curve of lap 24. After that, the XANAVI NISMO GT-R raced on unchallenged to the checkered and the MOTUL AUTECH GT-R finished 2nd to give the new GT-R a 1-2 victory.
