This is what the
Best Car magazine claims along with a couple interesting informations on this new version of the ultimate Subaru.
First of all we can't help but thinking that this new version has a lot to do with the arrival of its bigger challenger the
Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X and its impressively aggressive look, but at the same time it is Subaru's tradition to take the Impreza to the top of the technology.
Before going further into the details let's go back in time, a couple weeks ago, just to remind you the review that we did of the
WRX STi Spec C Type R-AR that blew our mind...this RA-R was based on yet another Impreza version called "S204"...the good thing is that this 2008 STi is using all the efforts and knowledge earned through the S204 project and that means business!
On the menu the magazine talks about 320 "official" horsepower when until recently the Japanese sportscars had to limit their HP to 280, the barrier is now legally broken. The pictures feature a restyled front end but unfortunately no look at the rear end which had not evolved in the last version.
Anyway the news shouldn't take to look to show as the 2008 Subaru Impreza WRX STi is said to be presented at the New York auto salon on April 5th.
