Nissan, under the management of Carlos Ghosn, continues its expansion and renewing especially in the USA, as a result, the NAIAS is the place to be in this young year 2007.
The war that Nissan is about to fight with the Rogue (compact SUV) versus Toyota's Rav4 and Honda's CR-V continues on another battlefield: the coupes. Here the competitors are called Solara or Camry(Toyota) and Accord Coupe(Honda) only speaking about Japanese manufacturers of course.
Shorter and thiner than it's elder sister the Nissan Altima 4 doors sedan, the Altima coupe comes in with serious mechanical weapons such as the 2.5 litres(4cylinders)and 3.5 litres(6 cylinders) engines along with the 6 speeds manual gearbox or CVT automatic one.
Called the "2008 Altima Coupe" should not fool you as the car will be available around summer time, at least in the USA. More news in the weeks and months to come.
