Not that the Kei-Car world is dead, far from ! but we have to admit that it is not the one we dream of at night...of course these cars sure are interesting for a “city-only” use where their small size and low fuel consumption are clear advantages but after testing the EVO 9 MR Wagon (
see here ) you have to admit it’s sometimes hard to show a lot of enthusiasm...BUT Mugen is here.
So the car is the new Honda LIFE (the title now makes sense) and it looks like a reduced MPV destined to women mostly...the LIFE is powered by either an iDSI or iDSI Turbo engine of 660cc...no no don’t run away ... because Mugen is here.
The famous japanese tuner worked on the aesthetics of the vehicle and came up with a new body kit made of bigger front and rear bumpers, new air intakes, Mugen rims, unique side skirts, exhaust and suspensions ... you even get a Turbo Boost gauge to increase the “sporty” feel shown outside. The engine doesn’t get the same treatment but this car is clearly not destined to the race track so, all in all, this makes sense...wow...that dream felt like a nightmare...I was in a world with nothing but Kei-Cars...hopefully Mugen is here.
