Design is very heavy handed very 80's liquid metal and gizmos look... concepts are'nt really Subaru's forte ( even way way back then ).
Let's hope Subaru resolves the final look on the production version.
...only if they have seen what I'ved done...

Another ugly, boring Subaru.
Time they hired some real designers.
How about Giugiaro ?
He did a pretty good job on the SVX decades ago.

The last REAL/GENUINE Subaru model is Legacy/Outback. This is the only model I'd buy. The rest ist just sh*t. They (Subaru management) don't have any notion about measure in design. They quit WRC thinking that Impreza will be more popular among housewives and it'll make big sales. A-ha! If you were succeed in making sporty cars with soul it doesn't mean you'll make it with primitive boxes with four wheels for those who need a car for moving from A to B.

Another problem is laying in technology. Subaru doesn't have gasoline engines with direct fuel injection. Subaru is not aware that 5-gear-ATs have been on the market since 1990 (look at normally aspirated Forester, Impreza and Legacy), 6-gear-ATs - since 2001 respectively. In 2003 VW put DSG in series production... Lads at Subaru, are you still think that you can sell you 'sport spirit' without developing your creations?

P.S. Subaru is relatively popular in Germany. However, new diesel Forester and Legacy/Outback can offer only 5-gear-MT. AT is N/A (see above). As I know, all new diesels (common-rail, Euro 4-5) REQUIRE 6-gear-MT due to strict ecological norms (engine is very sluggish in the lower RPM-range) and better fuel consumption. All other competitors offer 6MT and AT LEAST 5AT (not to mention S-Tronic/DSG with 6/7 gears).

What concerns this 'concept', it's looks more like Nissan Altima, but not like Subaru. BL/BP-gen has the best design, but they are too short-sighted to see it. Their previous creations like 22B or SG5 had its UNIQUE style. New models have no face, no distinctive features... Just another box on the wheels...
They didn't start series production of electrocars. They could have become pioneers/leaders but it will not happen...
I was crazy about Subaru... Not anymore.
